Welcome to Christian Romance Snippets

Welcome to CRS - Christian Romance Snippets

Many of you know me as Samantha Lovern, or Samantha Fury. I write under both names and I just love Romance. I wanted to start a blog where I could share samples of some sweet, clean, Romance scenes from some great novels. Of course this is all about learning new authors, and sharing in general.

Today we're saying hello. We'll have a Snippet, but don't rush  to read it yet. Take a moment and learn a few things about our new blog.

We'll be sharing Romance Covers, and New debuts. We will always give a rating of the snippet.  I
don't expect things to ever go above a pg17 around here, but each sample will be rated.

We'll post a rating chart on each blog for those that are new each week.  I love romance and can't wait to start.  We'll also post a link to where you can get the novel, and learn more about the author.

We may ask the authors a few questions, but this blog will mostly be about Romance, Romance and more Romance. So welcome, and be sure and share with your romance buddies, and bookmark and or follow CRS. You won't want to miss a post.

Rating system
G  Very Very Clean
PG Kissing Hugging Very Clean
PG! 13 A more mature seen, mentions of mature topics, drugs, sex, but still cleaner than most soaps.
PG 17  Intense Romance A bit Edgy. (trying to cover all basis)

What you won't read.
Ugly slang, Heavy Cursing, naming of body parts. We believe in romance but we want to keep the bedroom door mostly closed. We may peak in now and then to hear some conversation between married partners because I believe in showing in novels that Sex is if for marriage only, and it can be lots of fun. I also want to be very open that casual sex does not come without terrible ramifications.
Thanks for joining us

Snippet Rating G

A small teaser to get us off and running.
Street Justice Series Book 1 Charlie's Angel

Intro
Charlie and Angel are just getting to know each other, learning about each other, and finding out that there is an attraction.

Setting
Jerry's apartment. I took some flack for this part of the story. Charlie ends up living with a hooker, and then moving in with her boss, who is old enough to be her grandpa, for a temporary fix because she is homeless at the time.  I placed Angel in the midst as a chaperon. Though Charlie manages to jump from problem to problem she always handles herself as a lady.

Charlie always keeps her morals in tact even when she's tempted. I try to show true life as it is, and we all make mistakes but we must live through these decisions and learn from all of them.

I hope you enjoy this Snippet from Charlie's Angel.

*****
Jerry kept nodding off so Charlie suggested they call it a night.  She put away the Bibles and brought out the pillows for Angel while Jerry slipped off to his room.
Charlie knew Angel was busy out in the hall making a few phone calls, and she wondered who he was talking to.  She couldn’t help but think he was talking to some young lady even though he claimed he wasn’t dating at the present time. Was he telling the truth?
She turned out the lights and walked over to gaze at the Chicago nightlife.  She loved looking out over the city.  She couldn’t help but think of Allie as she watched Chicago sparkle in the moonlight.  She would try to call her friend in a few days; hopefully her anger would be subsided by then.
Charlie sighed. She wanted to go out on the terrace but the weather wouldn’t allow it.  The night air would be cold; since they were up on the higher floors it would even be colder.  She thought about calling home, but it was late and she didn’t want to wake anyone.
She prayed silently that Rico wouldn’t cancel her dad’s surgery. Maybe she could talk to him; maybe Jerry already had. Hopefully he wouldn’t be so angry with his dad that he’d take it out on her.  She’d held to her end of the bargain; she was willing to go out on the date.  Would he hold it against her that the man cancelled at the last minute?
Timing seemed to be working against her.  Jerry came back a week too early; her dad needed this surgery and soon.  She knew everything was in God's hands and forced herself to think positive, instead of focusing on the bad things that could happen.

The sound of the front door closing brought her out of her thoughts. She turned to see Angel walking to his makeshift bed.  He laid his phone on the table and started taking off his shirt.  She realized he had no idea she was there.
He stopped, took off his belt and sat down.  She turned her back and looked out the window.  She figured he’d lie down and go to sleep but a few seconds later, she felt his hand on her shoulder.
“Are you trying to become a peeping tom?” His tone was low and playful.
“No, I am not.” She didn’t want to turn and meet his gaze, so she spoke, not thinking how it would sound.  “I’m just enjoying the view.”
“That’s what all peeping toms say,” Angel whispered and Charlie had to laugh.
“I didn’t mean that view, I meant this view,” she gestured out the window.
“Then why won’t you turn and look at me?”  His tone mocked her and she could feel how close he was.
“I was thinking about speaking, but then you started . . . I never meant to . . .
“I know what you mean.  I’m fully dressed.  You can turn around.”
Slowly she did as he said, not sure how far he would take his teasing games.  Thankfully, all his clothes were on, but his shirt was unbuttoned.  In the moonlight, she could see the beginning of a tattoo on his left shoulder.
It had her attention and she started to reach up and push his shirt back, but stopped.  She realized she was beginning to feel way to comfortable with this young man. She caught herself and pointed, “How long have you had the tattoo?”
“Close to five years.  I wasn’t thinking clearly.  I’d just bought my first Harley, and let’s just say . . . I did a little too much celebrating.”
“So you don’t get a new tattoo every time you get a new bike?”
“No.  One tattoo’s enough.”
“What about the bike?  Did it fair as well as the tattoo?”
Angel raised a brow. “I guess. It’s got some scratches, but I still have it, and it runs good.”
“What kind of tattoo is it? A bike?”  Charlie could see the amusement in his eyes as he moved into the moonlight and pulled the corner of his shirt back to reveal a sword.
Charlie stepped closer, bit her bottom lip, and then spoke, “Wow! I bet that hurt.”
“It did.  That’s the reason I only have one.” Angel turned loose of his shirt and smiled. “You can stay and watch the view as long as you like, but I need to get some sleep.”
Charlie didn’t want the moment to end, and when she spoke Angel turned, looking at her. “I’ve seen many things since I’ve came to this town. Some good some bad, but there’s a few things I just can’t forget.”
Angel raised a brow, he would know she was flirting with him but she didn’t care. She smiled and spoke, reaching out with both hands to tug lightly on his open shirt. “Some things in this city are just so incredible, you want to save the memory so you can look at in your mind, over and over again.  I have a few favorites locked away,” she closed her eyes for a second and smiled, then opened them and looked at him.
“Well?” he mused.
“Picture perfect.” Charlie turned loose of the shirt and considered kissing Angel, then decided she was going to wait him out.  “Good night, Angel.”
